The Environmental Service, (EVS), department consists of, custodial workers, and floor technicians! Our EVS and Floor Technicians are required to maintain buildings and facilities here at Crestview Health and Rehab. Custodial and Floor Tech's will be required to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, and typically report to a supervisor/manager. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around hospital departments; and performs a variety of janitorial duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition. This position is also responsible for ensuring clean, orderly and attractive floor conditions in the hospital.

  • Clean all patient rooms or dismissal units to include isolation rooms; duties including but are not limited to: disinfecting all surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning of sinks, counter areas, shower and toilet, dusting, mopping and vacuuming, restocking paper products and shampooing the carpet.
  • Follow proper procedure for separating regular waster versus bio hazardous waste, disposal of needles, and storage of clean and dirty linens.
  • Clean public and ancillary areas duties including but are not limited to: wearing back pack vacuum, cleaning restrooms, trash disposal, damp disinfecting.
  • Dispose of Sharps container per policy (if applicable).
