BCI at Grady is seeking an Elevator Operator for its Food Service department.

• Pay: $15.00/HR - biweekly
• Shift: 7:00AM to 2:30PM Monday-Friday (no holidays)

Elevator Operators typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Observing passengers for signs of stress or anxiety in order to assist them during their ride
• Reporting mechanical problems such as malfunctions, breakdowns, or defects in the elevator system
• Using emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits in case of emergency
• Providing patients and staff with information on building services such as the location of the nearest restrooms or the hours of operation for the building’s business center
• Responding to calls from firefighters who need access to upper floors in case of emergency
• Maintaining records of all activity in the elevator system including maintenance checks, repairs, and changes in traffic flow patterns
• Performing routine checks on equipment such as the temperature of the elevator cab or the level of oil in the engine to ensure safe operation of the elevator
• Operating an elevator according to established procedures and regulations, including announcing stops and closing doors between floors
• Reporting any safety hazards or unusual activity to supervisors or security staff
