Serves as administrative assistant to the Director of Food Service, and the Food Service Manager(s)
Provide a wide variety of administrative and clerical works involved in the overall operation of the dining facility.
Performs administrative and clerical tasks within the applicant tracking system.
Upon identification of discrepancies, coordinates with staff members of the dining facility and personnel performing headcount duties, as appropriate, for clarification or for additional information.
Performs weekly and monthly inventories and ensures accountability is kept within tolerance limitations.
Performs all administrative duties within the dining facility.
Makes production schedules, ration requests.
Prepares monthly reports for turn in to Installation Food Advisor.
Briefs headcount on all procedures and ensures all necessary documents are available and used by headcounter.
Ensures all headcount documents are closed out, annotated, and filed appropriately.
Maintains control of POS system, cash sheets and cash within the dining facility.
Prepares cash turn-ins and conducts cash turn-ins to the Food Service Officer.
Makes periodic unannounced cash counts on headcounters to ensure cash sheets are being utilized and that all money is accounted for.
Reviews menus, work sheets and recipes and determines type and quantities of items required for number of persons to be served and recipe requirements.
Understands OSHA requirements, Labor requirements (Wage Determination), and employment law as it relates to managing the workforce.
Understand and follow BCI Employee Handbook, policy and procedures, and payroll requirements.
Comply with all HACCP standards.
Understand and oversee cash management and control operations.
Manage the workforce in a fair and consistent manner.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Walks, stands and moves about the kitchen and dining facility to ensure compliance with SOP
Some bending and stooping
Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays
Must be able to open and close the facilities as needed
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machines, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine and computer printer.
